As a part of an internationally funded project, Christian Medical Association of India, a credible national NGO is fellowship of doctors, nurses, administrators, chaplains and allied health professionals who work on the issues of health at various fronts, to bring relief from pain and the joy of health among India’s poorest and marginalised sections of society.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
CMAI is recruiting Documentation and Knowledge Management Officer in Delhi for its project “Participatory Communication Initiative for improving access to public healthcare services” implemented in four states. The project overall looks at developing participatory communication strategies to advocate for health entitlements of rural communities. The major activities also include the capacity building and advocacy with the health service providers, civil society organizations, panchayat raj institutions and the media on the issues of health. Promoting community awareness on health entitlements, continuous advocacy with stakeholders including government and other partners, and community mobilization activities, will be conducted throughout the life of the project. The key processes and learnings will be documented and disseminated
JOB SUMMARY
The Documentation and Knowledge management Officer will initiate and facilitate proper utilization of resources/ documents at state, district and block levels. S/ He will document all project activities and results and the processes of the initiatives in consultation with the Project Director and the Communication Specialist. S/ He should be able to identify processes under the project which need documentation under the guidance of team and experts; proactively document lessons learnt and innovations for the stakeholders. S/ He will be in involved in the training, coordinating and implementation of the project at the state level. S/ He will be in close association with the production of innovative strategies and models of using communication for community mobilization in the specified project. The salary offered for this post will be ranging from 18,000 – 20,000 per month.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Education & Experience: Post Graduate or equivalent in Development Communication/ Journalism and mass communication/ communication management. Qualification criteria could be relaxed only for those candidates with considerable track record or experience;
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
• Experience of Documenting Case Studies and learning processes in communities;.
•.Fluent in spoken and written English and Hindi;
•.Excellent understanding of the community processes under NRHM;
• Proficiency in computers;
• Experience in working with churches and ecumenical agencies will be an added advantage;
• Excellent Report writing skills and Analytical thinking
• Willing to travel extensively;
